Ladoire RGT (Roller Guardian Time) GMT Watch Watch Releases
Ladoire is a new Swiss watch makers with an interesting timepiece called the RGT. That is supposed to stand for "Roller Guardian Time," which makes no sense to me, but I will just smooth past that. The watch is unique as a regulator. I think maybe they missed the point of what a regulator watch is supposed to be, as the minute dial is really small, but that is OK. Interestingly enough, on this watch, the major dial along with the biggest hand is dedicated to a second timezone indicator (the GMT hand). If that watch reminds you of Hautlence and MCT watches, that is because they share some of the same engineering DNA.

We talk about the "Grey Market" for watches, watch companies' animosity toward allowing you to buy online, and the Internet's and Bell & Ross' role in changing what the Watch Grey Market looks like.  The new, thinnest Pathfinder PAW-2000 from Casio with satellite syncing, auto-illumination and much more that makes it a go-to outdoor watch.  We then complain about watch accessories that are as expensive or more expensive than the watches themselves.  We then introduce the concept of Febreezing your nylon straps.  John puts forth some knowledge about GMT watches.

In the end, there is no wholesale way to evaluate the effectiveness of an app, because each app will be different. If a company allows for some manner of commerce or sales via or through the app, it will all depend on how well such functionality is integrated. Making sure a user interface and e-commerce specialist is on the application development team is a must for such complex functionality.

We start out with learning about what tourbillons are, what they do, why they exist, then why they were "forgotten" for years and years and their sudden comeback. Then we get into why wear a watch at all - not the same as checking the time on your cell phone. Wearing a watch on the underside of your wrist is a topic. Next, fake watches, don't get us started! Wearing your watch at the gym? Then, we talk about the watch industry and watch news (where do you get your watch news).

Linde Werdelin SpidoLite SA Watch Review Wrist Time Reviews

Going back to what the watch is meant to celebrate. Breitling says that for its (Breitling's) 125th anniversary, and they are making this watch to celebrate Scott Carpenter's 1962 mission aboard the Aurora 7 capsule where he first tested out a chronograph watch in space. It was basically an orbital flight around the Earth. I  believe he was wearing a Breitling at the time. OK, so that is cool, but what about the watch itself?

Don't be concerned if the Dive-Tec/500 still feels really different - because it sure is. Even though you recognize it as a dive watch, it is an artsy piece. I can easily admit that. Some of it is almost like a cartoon. With the large strong looking hands, almost loony hexagonal crown, and wild appearance it is not a subdued watch. It shouldn't, and is a inspiration creation from a watch company that I am proud to say takes risks. You might not want to wear your Angular Momentum Dive-Tec/500 watch everyday, but the urge to wear it will arise more than I think you can suspect. The Dive-Tec/500 watch is mostly all made at Angular Momentum's atelier in Switzerland. Plus, given the "raw" nature of some of the watch, each piece is going to be just a little bit different. Something to look forward to. While not a limited edition per se, the watch will see strictly limited production. It is available with a calf leather strap (as seen) or a silicon strap for real diving duty. Price will be around ,500 soon. For more information, contact Angular Momentum here.

Bear Grylls Sticks With Casio: Wears G-Shock In Current Man Vs. Wild Season Watch Releases

The watch has common modern size of 42mm with out the crown, which is large by my personal standards. But the round shape and great lug design
makes it fit like a glove. Case is made from 316L stainless steel and is polished on sides and brushed on top. It has large dial compared to the outside diameter thanks to the narrow bezel which makes the watch look larger then it actually is. It really is a great looking piece with serious attitude to it, bit like a beast in a tuxedo. Straps coming along the watch suite the watch perfectly, in the black and orange version I got there's both orange and black strap provided (both made of high quality rubber).

My Universal Geneve Averin Chronograph Watch Article On AskMen.com Announcements

Like previous "most complicated watches" the Hybris Mechanica Grande Sonnerie is very conservatively designed but still have some modern elements to it. The case of the watch is probably the most conservative element of the watch. It is attractive, but nothing special. The dial however has a nice cohesive look and is "unoffensive." I do like that Jaeger-LeCoultre took the bold step to have the dial partially skeletonized. Not that this is such a unique move as this has been a trend over the last few years for highly complex and exclusive watches, but Jaeger-LeCoultre chose to remove lots of real estate on the dial for more possible complications. 'Cause, let's be honest, how long is it before someone comes up with a 27 complication watch? I would have loved Jaeger-LeCoultre watch to just blow everyone away by having a 30 + complication watch. Ah, but they would never do that. Not in a second. Learning from computer hardware companies perhaps (slow jumps in processor speed as an example), they are much better off doing a 26 complication watch, then a 27 complication watch, then 28, and you can see how they will swoon collectors each time. Hey, they are a business too right? They can also say "Jaeger LeCoultre has released [X amount] of the most complex watches in the world - sequentially." Maybe they have that up their sleeve? Or getting to 26 complications was just that big of a pain.

Made for a man, sized for a woman? Apparently that is what Swedish watch designer Gabriel Arlanch had in mind when making his first watch, the Arlanch Gold Watch No 1 as it is 32mm wide. Little! Sorta kid sized, or lady sized. Maybe I am getting it all wrong and this is a woman's watch. The was was announced mid last year, but this is the first I have heard of it. Aside from the passable looks, the real press release filler for the watch is it's eco-friendly features. Also, if the watch is Swedish, why does it say "Made in Germany" on it? Swedish design. Swiss movement, Germany manufacture. At least it looks that way.

Marvin M103 Watch Review Wrist Time Reviews

The major downfall of any complex watch is easy of use and reliability. I've never felt that this was an issue with Casio. I get a significant level of assurance when operating this PAW2000 watch. It is accurate, easy to use, and the operations are reliable and as ergonomic as can be. I've mention the duplex LCD, and I want to discuss that more. Basically you have one LCD over another. The top one has shapes that are purple in tone. Aside from assisting with the compass function, Casio has cleverly used the top LCD to assist with watch mode selection, the barometer, as well as the sunrise and sunset indicator. It is a welcome addition to their top of the range model.

There will also be more apps available on more devices. Most phones aside from just the iPhone will have applications that can be wirelessly downloaded. This means that watch companies will need to make multiple applications for each phone operating system. Another important area is standardizing watch specifications. It is possible that third parties will create watch related applications and will utilize on standardized watch specifications to include those brands who adhere to them. Right now there are no standards for explaining the specifications of a watch, but I believe this is coming (and should already have been here).

OK, so lets move away from titles and description to focus on the interesting movement and design. There is nothing wholly unique about the watch except for the really nice design and interesting manner of displaying the time in the way that it is. The design of the watch to me look like Porsche Design on steroids. Does anyone else see that? To read the time you just need to follow the red arrows. The larger dial is for the minutes, then the smaller is for the seconds, while the smallest that has two arrows and no real dial is for the seconds. It is not the more precise ot easiest watch in the world to read, but it gets the job done, and the red arrows are pretty nifty looking. For whatever reason, the gear that the GMT hour hand is connected to on the while gold version has a little Spiderman-esque web on it. You can see it in both the images of the front and back of the watch. A nifty feature of the movement is a quick adjust for the GMT hand in both hour directions. The right side of the watch is like a paddle switch. You can adjust the second hour hand in one hour increments either ahead or behind - which is useful and nice to have.

These are not brand new watches, nor are they cheap watches. Lots of white gold (or other golds) and other fine materials (steel, ceramic, natural rubber, optional oodles of precious gems) make up the Gotham watches, and probably a lot of prissy attitudes and luxury margins. But who cares, you'll probably never even see ones of these watches in the flesh. The only places I am aware they are sold is in places like Dubai and Burjuman. Where cost is of little issue to some people. The name of the brand is Tired New York - not sure what the connection to New York is - oh well.

Parmigiani Bugatti Tourbillon Watch + Bugatti Galibier 16C Car Watch Releases

I am considering the utility of the Les Douze Villes collection and whether having just 12 timezones enough. I mean it is for the most part. In the US you'd really only need to cycle through four of them - but once you left this continent the watch wouldn't be ultra useful. Basically you'd have to travel from Europe to part of Asia frequently to take full advantage of the watch - without needing more utility. What I really like is the sheer simplicity of the movement operation and information read out. Jumping hour watches are some of my favorite in terms of legibility and ease of use, and this is a very practical integration of that complication. Prices for the Jaquet Droz Les Douze Villes collection will run from about 20,000 - 30,000 Euros.
